No, they have no children. They do not even possess the organs necessary to bear children. In spite of their name, The Moms identify as a power trio, whose long history of making music together has nurtured a powerful, exciting sound. Officially formed in 2011, The Moms are a permutation of suburban New Jersey kids who have been making music since their elementary school years. What began as a reuniting of creative minds in a New Brunswick closet, quickly evolved into a national D.I.Y. touring act hell bent on their “ride or die” attitude. In 5 short years, The Moms have garnered a loyal fan base, playing hundreds of shows all over the U.S., including tours to Canada and Japan. The band has captivated their small-venue audiences with an impressive delivery of their own rock-punk blend. With only a short catalog (released by Panic State Records and Paper & Plastick Records), The Moms have already established themselves as a band with staying power – delivering ear-worms in a manner seldom seen in the recent past. Those familiar with The Moms are, with great anticipation, awaiting to see what the band has to offer with their recent signing to Bar/None Records.

“The most exciting rock & roll band in the UK right now”
BBC Radio 1

“A tsunami of mega riffs and eardrum-popping bass lines. Definitely don’t want to wear your Sunday best to one of their raucous gigs”
NME

“One of the most exciting band’s to emerge in recent years, their live shows are incredible.”
Tipping Point

“An absolute tour de force, their boundless energy and breathtaking performance truly sets them apart. By far one of the most thrilling bands you will see in the UK… Truly visceral.”
Louder Than War

“AP blast out sonic walls of psych-noise fuzz, in around three minutes that will knock you for six in the way that only someone who’s been floored in a boxing ring will understand the force of… Ones to watch in 2018”
Little Indie Blogs

Avalanche Party is feral garage-punk from the wild North Yorkshire Moors, hopped up on adrenalin and amphetamines. Their sound is intense and immediate, so new yet so familiar and brimming with an urgency that explodes off the stage like the front lines of a war you didn’t even realise was being fought. Every note played through white knuckles, every word spat through gritted teeth. The beats blast like cannons while the guitars stampede like spooked stallions surging ever onward, snorting, snarling and tearing apart everything in their path.

The past year has seen Avalanche Party tear away from the moors, raising venues all around the UK and Europe to the ground with intense live performances. Hotly tipped by many for big success the band has had heavy radio support, being championed by BBC Introducing, Radio1’s Huw Stephens, 6Music’s Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson, Vic Galloway at BBC Scotland, John Kennedy at Radio X, Edith Bowman at Virgin Radio, Jim Gellatly, Amazing Radio and KCRW’s Jason Kramer and KEXP’s Shannon Sauter in the USA. The band have also recorded two live sessions for BBC 6Music.

An intensely busy year which has seen the band tour the UK constantly with numerous festival appearances including visceral performances at Reading & Leeds Festival, Isle of Wight Festival, The Great Escape Festival, Liverpool Sound City, Live at Leeds, Y-Not Festival, Humber Street Sesh, Truck Festival, 2000 Trees Festival, Deershed Festival, Sheffield Tramlines Festival, Twisterella Festival, Hit The North, Stockton Calling and Psycho Mind Festival (Holland) amongst others and a European tour taking in Belgium, France, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Serbia.
